The Faculty of the College of Agriculture and Agri-Industries attended a one-day training workshop on Flexible Teaching and Learning Module hosted by the Office of the Vice President of Academic Affairs at the Conference Hall, New Admin Building, Caraga State University, July 1, 2020.
The said activity was conducted as preparation for the opening of classes for the 1st Semester Academic Year 2020-2021. The initial workshop session introduced the use of Moodle as part of the Learning Management System of the university as a response to the new normal during the CoViD-19 crisis. It was emphasized that the success of LMS as a new platform for teaching is the deployment of a bite-sized learning approach. This approach is expected to be an effective teaching and learning method since students will absorb more information than the traditional long hour presentations/lectures. As part of faculty preparation for the LMS, useful software and/or programs were introduced to facilitate video making in the preparation of lectures and other activities for students.
In the coming weeks, the CSU LMS team is expected to conduct a series of workshops to capacitate the faculty to ensure that quality teaching and learning will be delivered to the students. JALangres & GJCutamora
